List of 2018 holidays in the Philippines

Malacañang released the list of official regular and special non-working holidays for 2018.


MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on Wednesday released the list of official regular and special non-working holidays for 2018.

President Rodrigo Duterte signed Proclamation 269 on July 17, declaring ten regular holidays and eight special non-working days in 2018.
“Now, therefore, I Rodrigo Roa Duterte by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution as the President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the following regular holidays and special days for the year 2018 shall be observed in the country,” Duterte said in the proclamation.
Proclamation 269 stated that the declaration of national holidays for the observance of Eid'l Fitr and Eidul Adha shall be issued after their approximate dates have been determined in accordance with the Islamic calendar.
Duterte has also ordered the Department of Labor and Employment to promulgate the implementing guidelines for the proclamation.
