• Start with pleasant and friendly greetings. Extend a warm welcome to your class.
• Introduce yourself as their guide, co-learner and someone "here to stay".
• Look around and make sure they are comfortably settled and feeling secured.
• Let them introduce themselves and allow them to get acquainted with one another.
• Present rules and regulations.

ex. Attendance Policy, Class Policy for Tardiness, Due Dates/Interim Dates/Late Work Policy, Classroom Behavior Expectations, Subject Requirements and other important matters.
