The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) monitored the entry of Rosita inside the Philippines area of responsibility (PAR) around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, the 18th cyclone to hit the country this year.

PAGASA said Rosita may maintain its typhoon strength until it makes landfall over Cagayan or Isabela Tuesday.
