December 8 is not yet a holiday, #WalangPasok in selected areas only

December 8 will not be eligible for special non-working holiday in the entire country every year according to the National Wages and Productivity Board. 

The House Bill 5241, a House of Representatives, has been approved by the House of Representatives for declaration of special non-working holiday on December 8, every year in the celebration of the feast of Imaculada Concepcion, but has yet to be held in the senate and has yet to be signed President Rodrigo Duterte.

 "Although the House of Representatives already passed on third and final reading House Bill 5241 declaring December 8 of every year a special non-working holiday in the entire country to celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, it is still has to be approved by the Senate and signed into law by the President. 

Therefore, December 8 is not yet a holiday this year. "

Proclamation No. 357: Special non-working holiday in the City of Antipolo on Friday, December 8 for its 426th Founding Anniversary.

Proclamation No. 358: Special non-working holiday in Taguig on Friday, December 8 for the Cityhood Anniversary.

Proclamation No. 359: Special non-working holiday in the municipality of Agoo, Province of La Union on Friday, December 8, 2017 for the 439th Foundation Anniversary.

There will be no classes in University of Santo Tomas (UST) and Holy Cross of Davao College on December 8 in observance of the Feast of Immaculate Conception.
